We got this email from Jeremy Olson at National Geographic about some narration we just recorded for them:

“Really phenomenal. I think this might be the best out-of-house stuff we’ve ever had. . . . Like you said, really buttery and rich but not at the expense of detail and clarity.

Love it.”

We do, too. Thanks, as always, are due to Doug Geist over at Santa Fe Center Studios for working with us so graciously.

And, by the way, Jeremy is in Washington, DC, so when he says “out-of-house,” he means Los Angeles, London, New York, etc….

We really liked that Academy Awards show last night, and were especially gratified to see Hugo win both of the Sound Oscars. Bravo. #

We couldn’t have been happier than to see Hugo win both sound Oscars this year. What a spectacular soundscape they all built for us to enjoy. The Foley work alone was worthy of the best sound editing Oscar and when you add the sound effects it only deserves it more. The mix was transformative–playing with other worldly sounds without being heavy-handed; continually underlining the story and the character drama without ever distracting from it. In short, brilliant. Well earned Oscars.
